Out of all the Nokia handsets we’ve seen recently, the Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type has proved one of the most impressive, offering a host of great features in a tiny and affordable package. The Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type is now available to buy – join us after the break to find out everything you need to know…
Check out our Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type Hands-On Preview
The Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type was announced at Nokia World in September, and offers something for those on a tighter budget. As with the Nokia X3 Touch and Type, there’s both a touchscreen and a regular set of buttons, but here’s it’s all encompassed within a stainless steel casing.
We particularly like the usability offered by the touchscreen, making it easy to press and flick your way through the operating system, yet the proper buttons make text messages and emails faster and easier than ever.
Features on the Nokia C3 Touch and Type include 3G/HSDPA and Wi-Fi, making it easy to browse the internet or download, and you can add microSD cards of up to 32GB, offering more than enough storage space for all your digital music or photographs.
Despite this, the Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type comes in at just £159 SIM-free from Nokia’s online store. You’ll also be able to get the Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type for free on contract – with some vendors claiming a price of just £7 per month.

Reliance Unveils Internet Radio for 3G-ready Users
With private operators announcing 3G plans, that bitch of a wait for 3G for us Indians is seemingly over. While Reliance Mobile is an active telecom operator here, instead of announcing its 3G service, it has decided to launch a product that will get to reap the benefits of the same.
In a first-ever concept, Reliance Mobile has launched the country's first Internet Radio. The company's got its hands into broadcast audio before; in case you didn't know, Reliance also owns the BIG FM radio station. Named BIG Net Radio, this Internet-only radio service will be streamed straight to your phone or your PC. Click here to launch the website.
For now, they've got three categories: Humor, Celebrity and Devotional. That's right - the big bummer is that there's no music as of now on this radio station. The service is free of charge. Let's just hope they get some music in there soon.

Sharp launches mobile phones in Indian market
Global electronics major Sharp Corp. today entered Indian mobile handset market by launching four mobile phones of various designs and functionalities keeping the price range between Rs 6,500 to Rs 25,000.
Sharp Business Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Japanese electronics behemoth, launched four mobile phones namely Blink, Alice, Tango and Cyborg. The Blink is priced at Rs 6,500, the Alice which is a touchphone is priced at Rs 8,500, the Cyborg at Rs 17,000 and the Tango 2G is priced at Rs 18,000. The company is also planning to bring the 3G versionof the Tango phone in next couple of months which would be priced at Rs 25,000.
The Sharp-made phones come with features like 3 to 5 megapixel camera, LCD Touch screens, LED illumination, Bluetooth, FM Radio, dual SIM and easy access to social networking sites.
We'll be putting the detailed review of each phone very soon.
In last two days four companies-- Dell, Victor, Sharp and iBall-- have launched their range of new handsets in the Rs30,000 crore Indian mobilehandset market. No doubt, the touch and feel of the Sharp branded phones are pretty different than the above mentioned newcomers and it does not sound like a 'bluff' when Sunil K Sinha, Sharp India's Managing Director said that a lot of research has gone in to the design of the phones.
Though we have seen many companies coming into the very competitive Indian handset market and a mobile phone being launched every fourth day, it would be very interesting to see how many of them can sustain the pressure and continue with their business for at least next five years.

Speaking to Telecom Yatra, Bharath Varadarajan, marketing manager, Techzone, informed, “In our endeavor we will be creating copyrighted content that will belong to Techzone exclusively. We also have rights for Namitha's movies, which we intend to bundle and offer as a package for imagery and video.”
He added, “We have still to finalise a business model for celebrity management via mobiles because in the first year of operation we want to gauge the market for it.”
However, he said that from the second year, the company intends to team up with other celebrities as it will develop expertise in this domain.
On tying up with service providers, he said, “We will run this content across all telcos in India as we want to reach all subscribers. Techzone already has an existing revenue share deal with operators for other services and this will be on similar lines.”
Early this year, UK-based company Inside India had also launched a service on similar lines with superstar Amitabh Bachchan. The service, called Bachchan Bol, allowed the actor’s fans to hear his thoughts and experiences via IVR.
Similarly, in August, UTV New Media had signed up with Mahesh Bhupathi’s celebrity management company Globosport to develop applications and interactive services for the mobile platform. UTV will launch services such as voice blogs, chats, merchandise, celebrity-based games and images over the next 24-36 months.
Apart from the celebrity management service, Techzone is also going to come up with CSR campaigns on mobile. For AIDS awareness, it is planning to launch IVR and SMS updates in December.
